Sydney hotels are expensive in general, so this isn’t unusual. While it’s certainly not a budget hotel, I think it offers good value compared to many other hotels in central Sydney.

First Impressions
One reason I keep coming back to Four Points Sydney is consistency.
Every stay has felt pretty much the same in the best possible way. Clean rooms, friendly service, comfortable beds, and a location that makes getting around Sydney easy.
Sometimes when you return to a hotel multiple times, standards start slipping.
That hasn’t been my experience here.
The Rooms
The rooms are modern, clean, and surprisingly spacious for Sydney.
I’ve stayed in several different rooms over the years, and the layout has always been very similar.
The room isn’t particularly luxurious, but it feels comfortable and well-designed. Everything is where you’d expect it to be, and the rooms are generally very well maintained.
One thing worth mentioning is the view.
If you’re expecting sweeping Sydney Harbour views, you may be disappointed.
Most of the rooms face neighbouring buildings, and my first room felt a little enclosed because of that.
I actually asked whether a room change was possible, but the staff explained that many rooms have a similar outlook due to the surrounding high-rise developments.
Honestly, after my first stay, I stopped paying much attention to the view. Most days I was out exploring Sydney anyway.
A Nice Surprise: The Sofa Bed
Something I only discovered later was that the sofa can apparently be converted into a sofa bed.
I’ve never personally needed it, but a friend of mine had it set up during their stay.
If you’re travelling with family or friends, it’s worth checking directly with the hotel before booking.
Small Details That Make a Difference
One thing I genuinely enjoy is the personalised welcome screen on the television.
Seeing “Welcome Ms Kwon” appear after checking in always makes me smile.
It’s a tiny detail, but it makes the experience feel a little more personal.
The room also comes with a De’Longhi coffee machine, which was a huge plus for me.
I rely heavily on coffee in the mornings, so having decent coffee available in the room is always appreciated.
Bathroom & Amenities
The bathroom has been consistently clean during every stay.
Amenities include:

- Body Wash
The products are fairly standard hotel amenities. They work perfectly well, but if you’re particular about your skincare or haircare products, you may prefer bringing your own.
One thing that stood out to me was the use of traditional bar soap rather than liquid hand soap.
Not a complaint—just something I don’t see very often anymore.

Location: The Biggest Reason I Keep Returning
If I had to choose the single best thing about Four Points by Sheraton Sydney Central Park, it would probably be the location.
The hotel is located in Chippendale, one of Sydney’s most convenient areas for visitors.
Within walking distance you’ll find:
- Cafés
- Restaurants
- Supermarkets
- Starbucks
- Shopping areas
Central Station is also easily accessible, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the city or travelling to and from the airport.
For anyone wondering where to stay in Sydney, location is one of the strongest arguments in favour of this hotel.
Is Four Points by Sheraton Sydney Central Park Worth It?
In my opinion, yes.
After staying here at least six times, I can confidently say it’s one of the Sydney hotels I trust the most.
The views aren’t spectacular, and it’s certainly not the cheapest hotel in Sydney.
But it consistently delivers where it matters:
