JW Marriott Marquis Dubai Review: The Hotel Emirates Gives for FREE!

If you are heading to Dubai for a luxury getaway or a honeymoon, finding the right hotel is key. During my recent trip, I stayed at the JW Marriott Marquis Dubai, which sits as one of the premier luxury lines in the Marriott portfolio.

When I booked, the room rates fluctuated between $250 and $500+ per night depending on the season and weekends. If you’re looking for the latest rates for your specific dates, you can check them here:

Here is my honest, firsthand breakdown of what it’s really like to stay there.

The Room & Amenities

First of all, the rooms are massive. Super spacious, modern, and impeccably clean.

The closet comes fully stocked with plush bathrobes and comfy slippers. I also found a proper hairdryer in one of the drawers—the airflow was actually strong and amazing, which is rare for hotels.

Oh, and the in-room coffee machine is an Illy.

Local Pro-Tip: Ask room service for a bucket of ice and make your own iced coffee in the room. I bought an iced Americano at the Starbucks downstairs, and it cost me almost $8. Yep, Dubai prices are no joke.

The Ultra-Luxurious Bathroom

The bathroom was a personal highlight—so elegant. The bathtub has a beautiful, sleek design.

The toilet, walk-in shower, bathtub, and vanity are all completely separated. Honestly, the bathroom alone was almost the size of a standard hotel room.

The View & Pool

Waking up to the view here is stunning. It offers that unique contrast of the desert city meeting the Arabian Gulf.

The hotel pool is also a great spot where you can literally swim while staring straight at the Burj Khalifa. The only slight downside is that the pool itself was a bit smaller than I expected. This main pool is pretty much all there is.

Location & Free Shuttle

One major perk is that the hotel provides a free shuttle bus straight to the mall in front of the Burj Khalifa (Dubai Mall).

Just a heads-up: they don’t allow standing passengers, meaning everyone has to have a seat. Because of this, make sure to head down to the lobby a bit early to grab a spot. Also, the Dubai heat is intense, so a sun parasol is an absolute must.

The shuttle pickup point can be a little confusing at first, so just double-check with the reception staff before heading out.

My Final Verdict: 100% Revisit

One thing I’m sad about is that this hotel is famous for having an incredible breakfast buffet, but I overslept and missed it.

However, with the free shuttle, the location is unbeatable for sightseeing. The hotel condition is top-tier, and it’s super close to the airport, making it the perfect Dubai transit hotel. The staff were also incredibly kind and welcomed me with a refreshing drink. I would revisit this hotel in a heartbeat.
